Training Superstars Bob Sengar

Who we are

HUMBLE BEGININGS

In 2018, my broker of record gave me the idea to teach other real estate agents. I was shy and little scared to speak in front of so many people. I convinced myself to do it anyways! It was 11 a.m. on my first day of training and no one showed up.  I felt a little relieved because I’d been feeling uncomfortable. Around 11:10 a.m, the first student showed up, and soon more Realtors followed and filled the training room. To my surprise, everyone loved the training! This training led to another, and before I knew it, four weeks had passed. After my fourth training session, I told the broker of record that I was leaving his brokerage. He asked me why and what can he do to convince me to stay. I told him how much his kindness and support meant to me, but I must leave because the Bob Sengar who started training a month ago no longer exists. I studied and prepared for six hours before each training lesson, and I did this for four weeks. Because of this, I felt like a totally different person, and I wanted more challenges in my life. Many of my Realtor students wondered if I was going to open my own brokerage or going to a nicer one.  I told them that current brokerage was the nicest, but I’m looking for the opposite.  I want to get into competitive brokerage, where I’m sure I’ll face a lot of challenges that will put my skills and knowledge to the test. When I started at the new brokerage, I quickly realised that most of their work was pre-construction builder projects, so I decided to put most of my efforts there. I started writing a lot of deals for builders, but in contrast to the resale market, the builder didn’t pay me on time… As a result, I quickly got into debt. As my worry and fear grew, I started using money from my credit line. I spent a lot of money advertising these builder projects to get more leads. I was the only one who brought in money, and my family kept asking me why we were getting more in debt every month. We had a mortgage on the house, two car payments, insurance, food, and marketing costs for the preconstruction projects, so the family was right to worry.  Debt was building up, stress at home was getting worse, and prospects who turned me down kept me up at night. On top of that, I wasn’t making any money from the sales I had already made.  Luckily, I also started working as a coach for the current brokerage Realtors. When things weren’t going well for me, I encouraged and taught other real estate agents that anything is possible if they stay upbeat, focused, and gave their all.  The fact that I never stopped reading, learning, and getting better at what I did helped a lot to keep me going when things were hard.  Finally, the builders started paying me after a year.

It was a time for the change again… I chose to leave and join new brokerage in 2021 because I was offered a better position, great opportunity to expand my business and freedom to Coach any brokerage out there! At present, I train at current and other brokerages as well. Recently I got an opportunity to train at Brampton Real Estate Board (BREB). Every day I eagerly invest my time in reading, exercising, meditation and upgrading my skills.
