What would you do with a 24-karat gold brick if someone handed it to you at midnight with the warning that it would be dust by 5 a.m.? What would you do with it? Five hours is all you got. No one you know is awake, and you have only a few hours to get something done. Would you take the time to run a warm bath for this golden brick? How about putting it on a La-Z-Boy chair to relax with your favorite TV shows? Since this brick is doomed to crumble at 5 a.m. regardless of where you put it, would you rather tuck it under your comfy bed or take it on a sightseeing tour of the city?

Now let me ask you the real question. What about our physical bodies? Aren’t they piles of dust in the matter of time? Aren’t we supposed to get all the value out of these minds and bodies? For instance, before we perish, why not use this mind and body to serve others and make a difference in the world with our ideas, stories, poetry, and magnificent deeds? Would you rather spend a lot of time lounging in comfy chairs, mindlessly flipping through channels or scrolling through your feed on social media, hanging out with people who bring you down, worrying about things you can’t change, and punishing yourself emotionally for failing to meet your goals and objectives? In reality, we only control our time, thoughts, actions and our choices. What would you do with your mind and body which is worth many times more than 24 Karat gold brick before it turns into a pile of dust in a matter of time?
I believe in continuous improvement , which can be attained through interacting with creative people, learning new skills, enrolling in new courses, training seminars and reading books.
